The German Mercedes-Benz Company for luxurious cars said that the concept which was showcased at the “Geneva International Motor Show” in March from the category «G», raised enough positive feedback to be produced on a commercial scale.
The concept vehicle, dubbed the «G 500 4×4²» is a large truck considered as the strongest and developed car for off- roads by Mercedes since 1979. It is produced depending on the old-fashioned Mercedes G 500 model featured by permanent Four-wheel drive system, portal axles and wider stance.
Unfortunately, the G500 4×4² doesn’t share the same 5.5-liter biturbo V-8 front the G63 AMG 6×6, but rather resorts to an all-new engine: a 4.0-liter biturbo V-8 that’s good for 422 horsepower and 450 pound-feet of torque. Thankfully for our European friends, that engine meets the Euro 6 emissions standard slated to take hold in 2016.
